Selling

If we need to view your coin(s) ‘in the hand’ they can be posted to us fully insured, or we have consultants covering the whole of the United Kingdom who are prepared to travel to you. We can also arrange a face-to-face meeting at our office in Cheltenham if more convenient. Please note visits to our office are under strict appointment only.

Once your coin(s) have been viewed, we will be able to provide you with a valuation for auction, discuss reserve prices and other terms of business and address any other questions you may have. If you chose to consign with us at this point, then you can sit back and relax whilst we take care of the rest.

Your consignment will be stored securely and insured with us whilst we take photographs, perform research, and add it to our auction catalogue. You will receive information via email about your lot numbers, descriptions, reserves, estimates etc. to keep you well informed of the process.

Once your consignment is part of our catalogue, it will be advertised on our website approximately four weeks prior to the sale, on the saleroom, Numisbids and in our printed catalogue which is sent out to our registered buyers. This will ensure that your consignment reaches a global coin market of many potential buyers..

On the day of the auction, you can watch your consigned lot(s) sell during our live auction either by attending the auction venue itself or by watching live on your computer or mobile device.

You can expect payment for any lots sold within 35 days after the auction date, provided we have received full payment from the buyer.
